Season 2026/27
La Cosa Giusta
written and directed by Giacomo Ciarrapico
The show
Stealing from the rich to give to the poor: can it be right? And what if the thieves are three priests from the outskirts of Rome?
A parish priest and two curates in a church on the far outskirts of Rome – three men who could hardly be more different. It starts with a silver plate taken on impulse from a senator's home, and grows into a string of ever bolder thefts with a noble aim: helping families in need.
They should stop, but they can't. As tensions and pressure mount, the fall becomes inevitable. A story of friendship and madness that, in its own way, is about all of us.

Stealing from the rich to give to the poor: can it be right? Robin Hood already gave his answer. But what happens when the thieves are three priests? A parish priest and two curates in a church on the far outskirts of Rome. Three very different men, almost opposites, united by a vocation born along the unpredictable ways of the Lord. It all starts almost by chance: a silver plate taken on impulse by Don Michele from a senator's home. An isolated gesture – or so it seems. Because from there, in no time, a spiral of ever bolder – and ever less clumsy – thefts takes shape, driven by a noble aim: helping the families most in need. They should stop. They should repent. But for mysterious reasons – perhaps not so mysterious – they can't. And as internal tensions rise and outside pressure grows, the game gets complicated, until the fall becomes inevitable. Deep down, though, this is a story of friendship and madness – a story that, in its own way, is about all of us.
