The project Una favola di Campania was born from the wish to create around ten events forming a kind of itinerary that, starting from Naples, would reach several coastal towns of Campania: a small emotional map revealing delightful places rich in history and culture, and above all some of the stories that over the centuries have shaped the identity of the region. The thread linking these evenings is the Campanian Decameron collected by scholars, a transcription of 99 stories – fairy tales, legends, fables and oral tales – that form a precious narrative heritage for understanding the symbolic foundations of Campania's customs and traditions. Seven places, sixteen evenings, ten stories tied to the region and ten great performers able to restore the magic of tales long handed down by word of mouth, which thanks to the careful work of ethnologists and anthropologists have been transcribed, translated and thus made able once again to enchant and amaze us.
