The show premiered at the Teatro Comunale in Thiene on 9 January 2018. In a villa steeped in memories, two sisters relive a glorious past that has now vanished. In the background of their lives is a terrible accident that took away their father and their future. Though absent from the play, the father is always present in their daily life, especially for Regina, who had a morbid, privileged relationship with him.

As children, the two sisters had formed a musical trio with him – a spectacularly unsuccessful one – which broke up when Chiara embarked on a film career.

Gli esiti dell’incidente, si ripercuotono sulle due ragazze: Regina nasconde il suo dolore nell’alcool, mentre Chiara ne porta i segni visibili su by sé, trovandosi costretta sulla sedia a rotelle.

Forced to live together, the meaning of their memories surfaces – a key element above all for Chiara, who will find in them hope and the will to go on living.

The sisters' life together is torn between despair and hope, hatred and love, courage and fear. Regina, though she looks after Chiara, does not realise that with her alcoholism, her mental instability and her unbridled jealousy, instead of protecting her as she wanted to, she makes her a prisoner. Desperate over the failure of her career, she clings to a pointless hope, deluding herself that a local TV station is interested in her. This hope unleashes a game of mutual destruction.

It is a comedy with strongly humorous and yet moving traits. Moments of madness and normality are the basis of this show, shaped by a simple staging that leaves the actresses room to convey the resentment and incomprehension in the passing of these two sisters' lives, turning the stage into an extreme playing field.
